
Meet Julie.
Julie Slama is a proven conservative leader dedicated to strengthening Nebraska’s future. She has a strong record of protecting conservative values and putting Nebraskans first.
Born and raised in Southeast Nebraska, Julie graduated from Auburn High School before earning her bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a JD from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
Julie was appointed to serve in the State Legislature in 2019, making her the youngest female state senator in Nebraska history.
During her legislative tenure, Julie delivered key conservative victories that strengthened Nebraska’s economy, defended our constitutional rights, and advanced the interests of families across the state.
As a state senator, Julie advocated for fiscal responsibility to lower burdensome taxes. Senator Slama helped deliver the largest tax cut in state history, providing more than $948 million annually in tax breaks for hardworking Nebraskans. She made it a priority to streamline processes, cut burdensome government regulations, boost local businesses, and ensure a balanced budget. Senator Slama served as the Chair of the Banking, Commerce, and Insurance Committee.
Serving as the spokesperson for Citizens for Voter ID, Julie led the charge to protect our elections. Her work ensured that voters present a valid government-issued photo ID, protecting election integrity and preventing illegal voting.
Julie and her husband, Andrew, call Dunbar home, along with their two children. She currently practices law at her family’s small business in rural Nebraska.
